Context is key with movies like this, since You know this isn't "actually good" or even average as the rating might suggest. A movie like this is clearly a "bad-horror movie" for making fun of while you watch it in a group, and it knows it. I'll tend to give them 4-6/10 if they were successfully entertaining for that, and if they don't pull it off then it's a crash & burn down to 1*
Santa Jaws is a true SyFy original and a very earnest effort. It's very campy and the shark is funny as hell in different ways. You'll enjoy it if you like these kinds of movies. The overarching story has a good premise, though the acting and execution aren't the best.
A lot of these movies try too hard to market themselves specifically on the laurels that they are bad (Sharknado, velocipastor, etc), which makes them feel forced and less entertaining than you want them to be. Santa Jaws, however, earnestly made this movie and it shows.
It feels like Terrordactyl, Zombeavers, or lavalantuala.
