Amazingly putrid

Warning: Spoilers
This is the worst depiction of the Battle of the Bulge I have ever had the displeasure of watching Can't believe I wasted $7.50 on this (I hope I have my receipt so I can take it back to Wal-Mart). Wish I would have read reviews first.

The acting is horrible, the depiction is horrendous, they spend three-fourths of the movie melodramatically leading up to the big "battle" scene and then you only see about 5 to 10 minutes worth of fighting (get ready to watch U. S. soldiers shoot at point blank range and they can't hit the broadside of a barn as Germans just run away unscathed), watch as Germans charge down a hill yelling at the top of their lungs like it's some sort of Japaneese banazi attack (and yet again, being shot at point blank range and maybe only one or two fall). Watch how they depict U. S. soldiers look like they've never seen one day of combat leading up to this point, nevermind in real life that this same army has been fighting its way across France since D-Day. They depict the U. S. officers as indecisive and having no clue.

This ranks right down there with Nicholas Cage's "U. S. S. Indianapolis: Men of Courage" as two of the worst war movies I've ever watched (thank goodness I didn't buy that one).

These two movies are the trash war movies that Hollywood is producting these days. Just turns your stomach coming from a lifelong World War II history buff who has spent half a century studying and reading everything I've been able to get my hands on, only to see these same battles brought to the big screen in this fashion. UGH!
