I like the actors and that's the only reason I didn't quit after the first twenty minutes. There isn't enough love in the world for our protag to have been so stupid in the beginning. Dial M for Murder is a much better plot outline for a husband framing a trusting wife. It's not very complicated but some of the elements, such as the wife trusting her husband to be on her side, are present. However, it's about the execution. Dropping off blackmail money just because he asked and you just found out he was being blackmailed? Giving him the bloody clothes? I mean, sure, I don't blame her for trusting her husband, but a botched "blackmail" drop off didn't raise her cockles? Not only that, but they (to me) went overboard turning him into such a deranged creep while at no point giving her any sign that he was slimy, cheating on her, and violent.
