Mel Fisher is the sole inspiration for me becoming a SCUBA diver. I idolized him. I watched this movie so many times as a kid and decided to become certified. Mel used to say "Today's the day." every single day for over twenty years while he searched for Nuestra Señora de Atocha. One day, finally, it was the day. He found it. Rest in peace, Mel.
