So here's the thing. The concept for the show is wonderful and my daughter and I actually very much enjoy it. But the problem lies within their execution of a strive for diversity. I so much appreciate seeing a show trying to be inclusive and diverse but...you couldn't hire a black actor for your black character Koki???? Her fake "blackccent" is extremely offensive and for the record I am white, not that it should matter. There are so many black voice actors that you could have cast, and you're trying to aim for a show that is inclusive to all children, but in the process of trying to APPEAR inclusive you're still hiring and PAYING a WHITE woman to PRETEND to be black. There's something very wrong with this picture. Hire a black voice actor to play a black character. TRUE inclusivity and diversity is what happens behind the scenes. A. K. A who the paychecks are be written to. This is just absolutely disgusting and disappointing to see.
