The story is all kinds of riveting until one understands just what a colossal letdown this flick is. When you consider that this occurs in the first half you get that there is a whole lot of letting down going on. A child in Spain and a child in England each have encounters with Hollow Face, who appears in their rooms at night. Hollow Face is real scary, as most face-missing types are. The conceit of switching from one scenario to another is always masking a lesser script but the way it is used in this movie is particularly misleading.
