Good Gothic Comic Fun. Good Late-night Entertainment

I love these old fashioned (60's & 70's) Hammer Horror type films starring those Classic Horror stars like Peter Cushing or Christopher Lee or Vincent Price or sometimes all three!!!

I love the old victorian settings & beautifully Gothic production design & the atmospheric cinematography of those movies. There's a comfort in viewing these old films & i remember watching these flicks late at night on t.v as i always found one on t.v during those late hours during the 90's.

This twisted fun little tale is an Anthology. A trio of terror tales do to with CATS!!!

Peter Cushing is a frightened writer who has worked out the secret of the Cats. Cushing believes that Cats are our real masters & are going to takeover humans one day & he's got proof that's in three different stories that include the savage menace of Cats.

Cushing heads to Ray Milands big old house to sit by a cosy fire & tell him the stories in order to persuade him to publish his book as he believes it will save people & make them aware of the killer Cats.

The stories are all fun & silly in their campy Gothic ways & i gotta say that the 3rd story is my favourite with the brilliant DONALD PLEASANCE on hilarious form as a well spoken actor with a malicious mind. Donald Pleasence is a legendary actor in my opinion & I've loved the guy since John Carpenter's Halloween (1978) Classic & of course he's great in Carpenter's Escape from New York (1981) & the Halloween sequels & one of my favourite episodes of 70's Columbo: Any Old Port In A Storm & the grisly London-based Horror Death Line aka: Raw Meat & Carpenter's 80's Horror Masterpiece, Prince of Darkness & many more great roles that Pleasence made so interesting & memorable. The 3rd tale is set in HOLLYWOOD 1936 & set on a movie set of a Horror movie starring a fine actor played by a fine actor: Donald Pleasance lol, it's called "Cat Got Your Tongue" & it's great fun.

"UNCANNY" is simply a slice of pure 70's Gothic fun with great performances that is also silly & totally un-scary but totally enjoyable. Fun late-night entertainment.
