With emotions running high following a character death and the impending release of Randall, Lori has an impactful conversation with Shane.

This is a strong episode with some important character moments and an intriguing set-up of the series 2 finale.

The plot slowly racks up the tension for the majoirty of the episode before it boils over into a number of shocking moments. One part involving Carl seems a bit contrived, but for me it works well for the character and doesn't hurt the episode.

I cannot say too much about the plot details without spoiling, but it's safe to say that Lori is either careless or very careful with certain words in this episode. For now I think I'll go for the latter as i am somewhat of a cynic.

There are some very memorable character moments, particularly for Shane, Rick and Lori, whilst others like Carl, Glenn, Daryll and Randall also contribute well. Even Theodorre Douglas has something to do in this episode and he is entertaining whilst doing so. All actors are as good as ever, especially Jon Bernthal and Andrew Lincoln.

Visually it is excellent, with wonderful cinematography that tells the story and heightens the tension. The zombie effects are as well made and gross as ever.
