Here's The Lowedown on "The Seventh Day" (R - 2021 - DVD)
Genre: Horror/Possession My Score: 6.6
Cast=7 Acting=5 Plot=6 Ending=7 Story=6 Scare=6 Jump=6 F/X=8 Creep=7 Exorcism=8
A renowned exorcist teams up with a rookie priest for his first day of training. As they plunge deeper into hell on earth, the lines between good and evil blur, and their own demons emerge.
"Wars Need Armies...armies Need Soldiers." I liked this a lot more then I think I should have. Good jumps, nice exorcisms, and a great kill scene made for a solid possession film. Guy Pierce and Stephen Lang shine in their roles, but the other lead was a monotone contrast that was not impressive. Don't let that sour the grapes...just skip it and eat the rest of the bunch.
