Enjoyable movie. And the female lead's character growth is good. However, the male lead needed more redeemable qualities. And more time needed to be devoted to them connecting. Really, you can convey a character to be a widower in grief, without resorting to making him moody and rude. I'm fine with a romance story where the two lovers have a long way to go, but I don't like it when the male lead is a jerk.
Also, the movie's late conflict didn't have a resolution. Again, a romantic story's late conflict doesn't necessarily need to be between the lovers. I actually thought her dad was going to confess more financial bad news. This could compel her to sell the farm asap, until her friend provides the solution.
