Please don't waste your time watching this boring and cheap looking series. The actors are unbelievable as U. S. citizens.
Episode 1 was interesting about an FBI agent gone missing for 6 years years. Her husband too is an FBI agent but he remarried thinking his first wife was dead having a son with his first wife. What threw me off, the series is supposed to be filmed in Boston, Massachusetts. I kept looking at the scenery, streets, buildings, landscape, houses, and apartments and they didn't look like the city of Boston nor in the United States. Looking at the appliances in the kitchen and how an apartment looked inside, it appeared to be in Europe somewhere. Absentia is filmed in Sofia, Bulgaria and most of the actors playing Boston police officers and FBI agents are actors from around the world, not U. S. born citizens. One Boston police officer is white and from Montevideo, Uruguay. Uruguay, Chile, and Argentina are the whitest South American counties.
