Quite Gripping

Ultimately, this episode is about the value of life. Central to it is the execution of Celestine Gray who mutilated and killed a nun along with another man. In the eyes of the law he deserved his sentence. Peripherally, Henry Goldblume's ex-wife is raped at knife-point. She is refusing to report it, so Henry begins the process of finding the guy. He has been vilified by many of his colleagues for his views on the Gray execution, yet when it is his former wife, those beliefs are questioned. There is also a drug bust where Ray foolishly participates because of a form letter he received from division. Joyce is so torn in the matters here and the ending is quite stunning.
