Don't Look Back (2021)
30 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So upon seeing this on the shelf in my local supermarket & seeing 'From the creator of Final Destination' on the top I was sort of excited. But given that I've seen dozens of taglines like that before on othet Straight-To-DVD Films I wasn't holding my breath.

So, the film follows a young woman named Caitlin who witnesses a murder along with a few other bystanders who do sweet FA. One man, however, gets his phone out and films the incident taking place & it is then Caitlin grabs the phone & phones for help. But it is then someone or something begins picking of each of the bystanders in a form of karma fueled vigilante justice.

I found the film to be weak. It's more of a thriller with little horror elements in it. Furthermore, the story while unique lacked impact & didn't really have a interesting ending which I sort of saw coming. The twist itself was w0ke, M3 T00 & pretty much screamed the message, '2 wrongs don't make a right'. The deaths, gore, blood & dark suspensful fear felt in the Final Destination Pentanology is lost in this film. It's short at 1hr & 16mins but drags somewhat.

Overall, it's bad. Don't watch.

2/10.
