Interesting but it might not be everyone's cup of tea

The plot basically revolves around the very healthy relationship between a salary man and a teen on run from home. This series caused a controversy in some countries because the love pairing involved an elder and a teen. Rest assured, there is no sexual abominations in show, at least for now.

The story is not really complicated. It is simple but yet complex. I liked the show for its maturity when it comes to the relationship between its characters. This is something that is sadly missing in modern slice and life anime and I really appreciated this from the show. All the characters are fleshed out and well developed. The main male protagonist is not your generic main character who is oblivious and naive with all the girls mysteriously falling for him. No. He is a salaryman, neatly thirty and acts his age perfectly. The female protagonist may look cliche from the first and second episode but she receives the most tremendous character development. She has an actual goal and a well written back story. She therefore does not scream "look at my chest" at all like you see in other absurd slice and life anime. The side characters although few are interesting. The side love interests experiencing unrequited love are not brash and hot headed but very realistic. As a result, the story is unpredictable and it does not bow down to anime stereotypes and clichés. Basically, the show is a mature show that deals perfectly with mature issues and topics we can relate with. Now as to why I said it is not everyone's cup of tea; not everyone will like such realistic and mature dramas especially people seeking light toned harems with an unnecessary amount of fan service as well as fantasies between an adult and a teen. However, this show is very much worth a try and a brilliant work well done.
