I enjoy this show, but this episode seemed to have some serious blind spots regarding race: first, the Flash drawing blood from two black men without their consent reminds me of the whole Henrietta Lacks controversy. Second, Professor Stein tells a black character to use his "natural athletic ability" to fight another character. That may not be wrong in and of itself, but it harkens back to that traditional racist dichotomy between white athletes who possess a work ethic and black athletes with "natural"physical skills. I am not calling the show racist, but these are really just examples of thoughtless writing where people should know better.
