The movie opens with a very dysfunctional family. The son deserves a good scolding for how he treats his sisters. The mom is refusing to be happy. And the dad is a workaholic who can't even bring himself to say something loving in the gratitude game. This family definitely needed intervention. And the husband needed the wife to put her foot down and say, "I'm fed up with your neglect."
I realized the Tuckers may not be normal mortals when their dad told the kids that they should stay an additional day.
