I'd definitely recommend seeing this

Madhouse (1974) is a classic movie I recently grabbed off Amazon Prime. The storyline focuses on a retired actor whose most famous character was Doctor Death. When a string of murders starts happening that resemble the deaths in his movie he becomes the prime suspect. Is it really him or a copy cat killer? This movie was directed by Jim Clark (Rentadick) and stars Vincent Price (Edward Scissorhands), Peter Cushing (Horror of Dracula), Adrienne Corri (A Clockwork Orange) and Linda Hayden (Taste the Blood of Dracula). The kill scenes are fun and entertaining. A few of them spring on you suddenly. Some of their contraptions were fun. The storyline plays out a bit predictably but it's still fun to watch unfold. Cushing and Price are a little older in this but still legendary and entertaining. They play off each other very naturally. I'd definitely recommend seeing this and would score it a solid 7/10.
