It is one of the best animations of its time, but also one of the most underappreciated. It highlights the relationship between the sacred and the profane from a historical perspective, through the contrast between Billy and his family versus the Ayaras civilization, descendants of the Incas, which have a vast culture rich in deities, traditions and ocultism. Sadly it has an open end whixh could have been very well continued due to such a numerous omitted subjects and easter eggs.
