Nutan stands out as the central character Sunjukta Chouhan! Asha Parekh excelled in her small role of Tulsi, whose sacrifice becomes unforgettable for audience. Nutan deservingly received her best actress filmfare trophy but Asha Parekh should have won the best supporting actress award! Vinod Khanna wins audience through his dignified role of a illegitimate son! The film became a classic over the years!
