7/10
The writing for this movie is pretty clever, especially the very end. I liked how the characters playoff each other which ultimately led to a climatic ending.

Warning: Spoilers
Caught the second The Houses October Built, also on Hulu, and I actually may have liked this one slightly better than the first one. This one picks up literally exactly where the first one ends with all of the characters in their predicaments. Without giving away the ending of the first one, I can tell you the characters become a national storyline and become in high demand to make appearances at future haunt events. While some are reluctant to continue to quest they can't turn down the money. The climax to their adventure is at a haunt called Hellbent where they discover a master plan that ties the two movies together. The writing for this movie is pretty clever, especially the very end. I liked how the characters playoff each other which ultimately led to a climatic ending. I actually recommend seeing these two movies a little more than I did after just watching the first one. I'd give this a solid 6.5/10. It's an average to slightly above average addition to the genre if you take both films into account.
