I was excited about this as a family movie, a tale of adventure, etc. But, several times they talk about very violent concepts, e.g. The native people fighting, killing, smearing mutilated bodies on kids, cutting off limbs of people and roasting their flesh, etc. It's not safe for young kids. It doesn't show this happening, but it does show fight scenes where people get speared and clubbed, and explains in detail what happened to survivors of losing tribes, which could be awful.
