An inspirational documentary about the power of protest to bring about real change.

In this instance, the protests brought awareness to people with disabilities and succeeded in changing laws to make the world more accessible to the disabled. The film begins at the eponymous camp where a bunch of kids with disabilities feel for the first time like they're real people surrounded by other real people who see them as something other than the sum of their challenges, and then it follows these kids as they grow up and become advocates for the disabled community. The footage from the 1970s mixed with a great soundtrack provide a good deal of nostalgic fun.

Nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 2020 Academy Awards.
