It just keeps getting better.

Warning: Spoilers
The Boys is a program that shows us deeply flawed characters and fleshes them out completely. It takes the superhero genre to a dark, bitter place it hasn't ever been before, and I can't recommend it enough.

This, the seventh (of eight) episode of season one, reveals the reason for the respective psychoses of Butcher and Homelander, two very bad and dangerous people who are bad for different reasons and dangerous on different levels. It also brings to reality the doomed fairy tale romance between Hughie and Annie. It also expands the global peril caused by the actions of Vaught. It has action and brutal violence; pathos and genuine tension.

This is good stuff. Watch it.
