Warning: Spoilers
The actual season 7 premiere of the Flash was mostly filler, but still had some huge moments that will be further addressed in the coming episodes.

This episode saw the return of Abra Kadabra (who has not been seen since season 3) and his intent on making the Flash feel his pain and suffering. Abra Kadabra lost his family due to the Crisis resetting everything, and now he wants vengeance. It was quite lukewarm when he redeemed himself at the end (however, his redemption arc was ephemeral).

I loved the bromance between Cisco and Chester in this episode. I was quite skeptical of how the series will handle both characters being part of Team Flash without it being contrived or overabundant, but they managed it quite nicely. Cisco playing Fortnite with Chester was so fun to see and further emphasises that their relationship will only strengthen the quality of the season.

My favourite moment of the episode was when Cisco interacted with the director of ARGUS aka Mr. Literal.

Due to the events of episode 3, a new meta human possessing the strength force, was created. At first glance, it seemed like the Flash is introducing a DC version of the She-Hulk character. Episode 5 introduces another villain named Psyche who possesses the sage force. Did the explosion in episode 3 also create other speedsters or just different forces?

Allegra and Iris's relationship blossomed in this episode. Their friendship became stronger and more mature. Iris promoting Allegra from intern to staff writer was a cute little moment they shared together. Iris is still reeling of being trapped in the Mirrorverse, and attended a support group where everyone is talking about their experiences in the Mirrorverse.

To conclude, despite the episode being mostly filler, it still was a blast to watch and had some huge reveals. It was revealed that Frost and Caitlin somehow managed to separate from each other. I wonder what kind of ramifications that will bring to Team Flash.

Favourite quote of the episode: "The Flash does not need big fists, he's got a big heart."

Side note: Nice wink to the cancelled Green Arrow and the Canaries spin-off :(

Final verdict: 8.8/10
