Overall, in the movie Women in Motion, Nichols is seen as very inspiring on how she went from acting to running a program that recruited minorities and women to diversify NASA. She is responsible for recruiting many of the most important astronauts of the last couple of decades with the program including Charles Bolden Jr., Sally Ride, and Guion Bluford. I'm glad I saw the film, as this is the first time I've heard about Nichols' efforts.
