Middling heist thriller
2 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
DUBLIN NIGHTMARE is a typical British crime cheapie with a southern Irish setting for a change, although it's very much business as usual when it comes down to it. The story sees a small-scale heist play out, but then some of the gang members vanish and it soon transpires that a double cross has taken place. Meanwhile, the police close in. This low budget film feels like a real potboiler and doesn't have a huge amount going on; William Sylvester's character just randomly shows up right in the middle of everything going on and then has to figure it all out. It's middling at best.
