The inhabitants of the White House were taken to screen several times, mostly as political thrillers and comedies, this picture is grounded in a alleged hoax comedy underlined by an unrealistic premise, when they offer a frame over a former President that ruled seven years before, about a bribery committed by the current keeper of the chair, forgetting this flaw all remains is really funny and how the absence of power brings a kind of suffering for them.

Jack Lemmon plays the former republican President Russell P. Kramer is a hard cheapskate, where he has some bad behavior on his private life and tries to be remembered writing many meaningless books, James Garner plays a former democrat President Matt Douglas that has many sameness of J.F.K.'s sexual conduct, selfish and pragmatic in political matters, in others words a true slick, both hates each other, however when they are together in the same chopper going to Camp David for a meeting, they realizes that they are in danger by a set up perpetrated by President William Haney (Dan Aykroyd), they leave there before when the chopper explodes.

Hereinafter they are an unflagging pursuing by secret service lead by tireless and deranged Col. Paul Tanner (Everett McGill) cross country, through this journey they know that was bad their stewardship in touch with the people, plenty of funny sequence came along as the bathroom when a man peeing wants greet them using yours dirty hands, another fabulous the show off Douglas meets an old affair Marilyn Monroe's doppelganger on a train and the women says that once had spent a night with the real Douglas describing the adventure as unsatisfying under the sexual point of view for the despair of the baffled Douglas. many reviewers are making a likening about of the succesfull and unmatched partnership Lemmon-Matthau, it's an insanity unbridled!!

Thanks for reading.
