Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (2019) : Brief Review -

A superb comedy thriller discovers one of the most horrible religious crime set-up. This film is a fine example of how a dumb looking film at the beginning can be turned into a superb gripping thriller later on. The film is about an authentic, filmy, quite dumb yet pretty smart detective agent Sai Srinivasa and it revolves around the fictional story based on true events that discovers of one of the most important crime rackets of our country. At the beginning it looks dumb when you see the detective trying to be humourous with non-sense talk about Hollywood crime thrillers. After some time it becomes much smarter starting from the scene when the detective tells the definition of 'A Detective' to an unknown guy by revealing lots of unknown details he wouldn't want to tell anyone. Then the crime mystery begins and it doesn't stop for anything until it is reached its destination. While most of the begining part is wasted for nothing related to the context, the finale is freaking mind-boggling in every sense. The hunger of watching a super detective thriller surely is fulfilled by the overall impact of the film. Navin Polishetty is hilarious and damn madly involved in his character. His dialogue delivery, expression, that confidence while finishing the dialogues everything is brilliant. Shruti Sharma looks beautiful but I wish she had been used better throughout the structure of the storyline. The Cinematography is fine, the screenplay is bit overlong and the background score is chilling. Swaroop Rsj is better as director than a writer here. May be couple of things have gone wrong in the writing such as set up of characters, emotional links and awareness portion but as a director he hasn't done any such mistakes. Overall, it's a good fun plus a nice thrill.
