Grimm: Zerstörer Shrugged (2017)
Season 6, Episode 12
3/10
Obviously show ran out of time and this happened

The entire show was reasonably well written. Even some of the more annoying plot points were worth it because for the most part the character development helped to support most of the events and shifts. But this, this insultingly stupid- what? Three-part series finale? It was a freaking Trainwreck of clashing weak and hurried writing and dramatism used simply for shock factor.

The only explanation I can come up with is that the show was cancelled before the showrunners were ready, so they had to cram another half season's worth of plot into 2/3 episodes. Rushed, sloppy, and even the acting was sometimes semi believable, as if the actors themselves felt the mediocrity of the writing, which is saying something when working on a fantasy tv show.

ALL characters started behaving OUT of character in this episode which completely led to the ending being predictable and campy. I don't want to write spoilers so I'm not going into specifics. But if you know, you know. There's a reason I don't tend to finish the shows I start. They almost always lose all reason when the finale comes into question. In a word? DISAPPOINTING.

I'll stick to rewatching the rest of the episodes minus these ending ones from now on. Which shows how good the writing always was, until the end, when it kinda really mattered you know?
