The movie itself was pretty good. Good twists. Not ridiculous preaching like On The Waterfront even though this features a priest buddy.
Unfortunately the ending kind of ruins it. Father Connolly won't take a $10k donation from Rocky because he knows it's stolen and he'd build his youth center on a dirty foundation. Then later he gets Rocky to fake being afraid of death saying only he and Rocky will know the truth, that Rocky wasn't afraid. When the kids ask him if Rocky really was afraid he lies to them, effectively building their future on a dirty foundation.
