About half as good as "Harper". The funny, relaxed performance by Newman and the location shooting in my second favorite American city and environs partially make up for a dull story and less than interesting subsidiary characters (blame the plethora of screenwriters and Stu Rosenberg's plodding direction). Give it a C plus. PS...At first I resented the use of "Killing Me Softly" as an intrusion on Michael Small's fine, jazzy score, as befits a movie set in the Crescent City. But then, damned if I didn't start going with it!
