I've seen some people reviewing this episode with 1 star, complaining about how the episode was too political. Was it political? Yes. Has This Is Us always had political undertones? Yes! It would appear people forgot the show spent an entire season criticizing the Vietnam War.
This Is Us has always been a show about people, real people, making their way in the world - a very close reflection of our world. I'm not surprised that they chose to cover COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter, and I am very glad they did.
