Dummy (2002)
7/10
A fun, witty and well acted film !

Dummy is a film that I have wanted to watch for a little while now and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. Brody is so quirky in this film, he truly portrays himself to be an outcast who's only friend is a ventriloquist dummy, he puts his faith in the hollow wooden doll for the smallest of things which is genuinely very sad to see. He feels as if this doll which is really himself is the only thing he can trust as he can't seem to get away from his outlandish family. Milla jovovitch who plays his friend "FANNY" or as she prefers to be called "FANGORA" is absolutely hilarious , she is just as awkward as Brody but a lot more in tune in terms of what she wants to do however she finds herself constantly relying on other people and blaming them for her own mistakes, relying on them just as her mother relies on her for her prescription. Quite simply this film should be a classic yet it is so unheard of , how ????? This is probably one of the best films from the early 2000's , the cast entirely are today now modern superstars and I truly believe that this film had it been more popular would have perpetuated them to stardom even sooner!
