Not impressed at all by this one.

So many extremely positive reviews tricked me into watching Lone Star State Of Mind. I should have known better but then again it will happen again in the future. As a comedy there's not much fun going on, maybe a handful mild laughter moments but certainly nothing that made me laugh out loud, it must not be my kind of humor I guess. As for the story it's watchable but it all looks more like an episode of one of those average series than a theater movie. At best it's a tv-movie you watch when there is nothing else to do. Joshua Jackson just not fits his character. He's supposed to be the cool tough guy afraid of nothing, but he has one of those dumb faces, it's just not credible for him to play a character like this one. He isn't a great actor either, pretty monotone to watch. The other leading character was played by Jaime King, another not very convincing and boring actress to watch. But not the whole cast was bad, there were some that did a good job at acting, just not the two leading characters. I think this movie is highly overrated on here, I won't watch it again, that's for sure.
