Except for the terrible acting of the woman who played the mother. She ruined it for me. It was torture getting through all of her scenes. The teenage daughter helped me stick it out. I'm happy I did. Very thought provoking and the last part of the movie, (once I didn't have to endure that horrible mother's acting), allowed me to be immersed back into the film. Beautiful cinematography and music. You need to look deeper to understand what this film is trying to say. This is not just about life or death, it's about connections. How all of us are connected. The supernatural world as well. Is everything that happens in life random, or is it meant to be? Can our fate be changed? Do we make our daily decisions, whether good or bad, by choice? Or has it all been planned out beforehand? Is there an afterlife? If there is, are we all still connected to it as well?
In the end, I loved this movie. I love movies that make you think and ones that still run through your thoughts even after it's over. This one did that for me. Everything and everyone is connected. Or is it all just random?
