BS-du-jour: Two redneck dumbs use a 9-year-old boy as bait to hunt alien monsters with what looks like an anti-aircraft gun. At one point they shoot an alien with the kid standing RIGHT behind it. When his father finds out and scolds the damn brat, the boy yells: "YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" Father's reaction? He APOLOGIZES for "embarrassing you back there". Perfectly normal in Spielberg's world.
