I love this episode as it shows how conspiracy theories and rumours can quickly get out of hand. After Seven of nine enhances her alcove to assimilate data and starts mixing fact with fiction the episode really gets started. Captain Janeway and Commander Chakotay both get hooked into this web but thankfully they both work it out in time.
I commend Jeri Ryan in this story, she has an amazing amount of dialogue to fit in a 45 minute episode and carries it extremely well and just like the episode Infinite Regress, again shows her versatility as an actress, I wish I knew how many takes it took to rehearse.
The last act in which Captain Janeway convinces Seven to come home is extremely well executed, with lots of feeling. No matter how Kate Mulgrew originally felt when the powers at be brought the sexy Jeri Ryan into the voyager family, i'm sure as the series progressed they worked out their differences, if there was any problems you could never tell from either of their performances.
A must see if you love Seven of nine and Captain Janeway role model scenes.
