I honestly had low expectations going into this one, but when I finished watching this my endorphins were flowing well. This is a non serious, lighthearted and unique take on zombie films. The whole cast was enjoyable to watch and there was great chemistry with the four leads. I love slapstick and silly humor so I literally haven't laughed this much while watching a movie in years. I busted a gut at a few scenes I mean to say that there are some genuinely hilarious scenes in this. My problem is, I'm 56 years old and watched about everything there is to watch and especially in the Zombie horror genre. Don't be silly and try to judge this as a serious movie, it was meant to be pure fun. The lead man, whether he knows it or not, could literally be the next Jim Carrey, he played his part so well, he could very good in a Ferrelly brother slapstick film . The buff actor was hilarious also, I mean he nails it as the a typical jock. The girls were incredibly hot and hilarious, the kind of gals you absolutely want to party with. The scientist was also great, less funny but very like-able. Total eye candy. The zombie hunter is such an ass, he annoyed me a bit but he nails his role also, he sets out to be the character he was intended to be and rather well. I cannot remember his name but he has been in a plethora of movies; we have all seen him, and he is an above average actor, actually, Pontypool comes to mind. (A must watch).
Seriously , if your humor is similar to mine, meaning if you enjoy silly slapstick, you will love this. If you're looking for serious, steer clear. This is for those of us who enjoy all styles of zombie films, and this achieves its goal.
I gave this a solid 9 out of 10. The two lead men should collaborate, they work well together, as does the 3 intelligent hotties lol.
