Larry has second thoughts about the show
23 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Increasingly cynical and disillusioned about his own show that he begins to see as redundant, Larry (Garry Shandling in top antsy form) becomes more and more interested in a film script that he's writing at the expense of the program.

This episode has a lot of wickedly witty fun at depicting everyone around Larry basically panicking to varying degrees the moment they get wind that something is amiss with Larry: Hank (the always great Jeffrey Tambor) gives Larry an inane heart to heart pep talk, Arthur (a marvelously cranky Rip Torn) confronts Larry behind the scenes and gives him the rundown on how being in movies comes at a price, and writers Phil (nicely played by Wallace Langham) and Jerry (a sharp turn by Jeremy Piven) squabble over a bad Michael Jackson joke. Suzanne Sommers puts in a memorably sexy appearance as herself. Good biting stuff.
