This film rates a 5.4 here? I think that is higher than the first film! Compared to this, the first one was an insanely action filled film, this thing was so pointless...they managed to get the cast together again and it is not like they even tried to do anything else. The story was terrible, it goes nowhere, nothing is explained and then the characters do not act like they did in the first film. Remember when the guy became Marshall and started gunning people down with deadly skill and precision? Well forget it, here he is hopelessly incompetent. It is like they ditched the action in this one thinking this would make a great episode in a comedy they were thinking about doing.
The story, well Lash from the first film has a claim on a cave, there is a bounty hunter coming to the town and Redeye has a brother that does not really do all that much. Oh, and there is a giant turtle...that isn't explained. This film is just scenes that interconnect and we are supposed to just go with it or something. As I said, the action is nearly all gone as about the only thing you get is a lame fight between the marshal and the bounty hunter where you see the bounty fight in a style that seems mediocre at best, but he is apparently a super tough guy. Julie Newmar's character factors in it more, but what's the point? This thing is just people dressing as the characters they were and just doing something else with them. It is dull and it just does not work.
George is back doing Star Trek references, maybe if he was a good actor and not just a background character in the original Star Trek he would not need to be spouting off lines from his old show. Of course, we all did something bad in life to still have to put up with him acting like he is something more than a has been, I mean he was so upset Shatner got rid of his scene of becoming a Captain, I say good for Shatner, I just wish he could have gotten rid of his character earlier so we would not have to endure his ramblings. Issac Hayes whispers his lines, Julie is doing her Catwoman shtick and Lash, the person you think is going to be super important spends a lot of her time having to sit in a cell or flirt with pointless lizard man.

It literally seems that no one wants to be there with the exception of the undertaker guy and Keyes who basically plays the same role, but does it well. The first film had the bad guy ripped apart by scorpions after a shootout, this one really has no bad guy as the bounty hunter is just there to be British, who knows what Lash is doing and new lizard guy played by the first lizard guy really adds nothing and just how would we know Lash even had a new claim. Then we get a giant turtle showing up and doing nothing. It is literally the size of Gamera and it is lumbering forward, seemingly on a rampage and they just cut away from it and say nothing more about it. Usually Full Moon films are fun and entertaining even when they are bad, but this one is a rare exception, it was just bad.
