The documentary is solely comprised of archival footage, and tells the story of the beating of Rodney King and the events that transpired afterwards. For someone who was born after the Rodney King riots, it really gave me a better understanding of the context surrounding the events. Though no film is impartial, I feel like this film gave a pretty fair representation to the difficulties faced by the black community, the Korean community, and law enforcement. There is no narration and I feel like I was able to walk away with my own conclusions (as opposed to having conclusions editorialized for me by the filmmakers). Overall, this is a work of fantastic editing and archival producing. Highly recommend.
