Murder, She Wrote (1984–1996)

Ok But Definitely Not Agatha Christie
27 June 2020
Murder She Wrote with the character Jessica Fletcher seems to me to be a rather cheap jack rip off, of the English author Agatha Christie.

Fletcher is obviously meant to be Christie as an author and investegating 'mysterious' cases.

It makes for a great meal ticket for the English actress Angela Lansbury, who had been resident in the USA for years. From what little I have seen of this show she plays it with her usual aplomb, easily making the part her own.

All in all its a harmless somewhat whimsical TV whodunit played with charm and verve, by the accomplished British character actress Angela Lansbury.
