This episode was a good example of what the show does right. Balancing both the key characters characters such as harley and Ivy and their relationship while showcasing how great the supporting cast is as well (the rest of the crew and the justice league). The story throughout season 2 has been spread out to flesh several characters rather than solely focusing on the harley and Ivy relationship. This is really the first episode where you can see the gradual build up of different plot points and shows the level of consideration and thoughtfulness the writers have when building up the overall story.
Though there is some levels of cliche and predictability, this episode branches out new possibilities of where the show continues and how the Ivy, kiteman and quinn relationship is handled on to season 3
