A disappointing film from Lucio Fulci. particularly when he made the excellent 'Zombie Flesh Eaters' in 1979, (sometimes known as Zombie 2). A virus escapes and turns people into flesh eating zombies. Scientists try to find a cure and the military go into the infected area and try to kill everybody. Caught in all this are a couple, some soldiers and a group of young people. It could have been awesome. It's not. The plot meanders and nothing really makes sense.
Why has the motel deteriorated so much in a couple of days? Why does the motel have a cache of arms? (Not to mention a flame thrower!) Why does mist and green light appear when the zombies do? Why are most zombies slow but some are ultra fast? How was the handy hand grenade just lying under the truck? Who infected the DJ? And so forth.
There is nothing original in this film. A shame, for as I said earlier 'Zombie Flesh Eaters' was a classic.
