I first saw Arachnophobia on the big screen 30 years ago, and recall thinking it a very good move.Just watched it for the second time, at home, on old fashioned VHS. It did fell nostalgic but the movie didn't seem quite as good this second time. It has a Gremlins sort of feel about it, a B movie but with a big Hollywood budget, combing scares and laughs in equal measure. To those with a genuine fear of spiders then it may prove difficult to watch, for the rest of us it is an entertaining ride, not exactly a classic, but suitable for older kids and grown ups.
