I enjoyed the French twist of this series, the Bataclan club shooting in Paris, working under pressure that may lead to death, a lethal homophobic attack, are themes that feel all too current and real and are well represented. Apart from that, a recurrent theme of the series comes through here as well, the struggles and challenges a young woman faces when being in a position of authority that is traditionally associated with men and patriarchy. On the downside however, for the same reason I disliked the Spanish version of Criminal, the interrogation team, or at least some of it, feels very unprofessional, especially in the first 2 episodes, you get massive tantrums and inappropriate behavior, which bring down the quality of this concept.
