Fred Astaire must have been the busiest actor in Hollywood, popping up as he did in so many films, this time costarring with Red Skelton in one of his least obnoxious role. This is the biographically based story of the songwriting team of Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby, whose best known songs are showcased in this film under the direction of Andre Previn, including "I Wanna Be Loved By You," "Nevertheless," and "Who's Sorry Now?" The movie features the incredible dancer Vera-Ellen, a young Debbie Reynolds, and the lovely Arlene Dahl.
