10 hours of show, 3 hours of plot

Warning: Spoilers
If you've watched enough Netflix shows by now, you've seen this before. All of them are 10 episodes long. Doesn't matter how much plot they have. This could easily have been shown, to much better effect, in 3 episodes. And when you finish the 10 hours you'll sadly realize that other than a couple of reveals about the characters basically nothing has been resolved. Most of the drama of going to a new high school, the affair, lots of the flashbacks, could have all been left out or seriously shortened. The long views of people slowly walking in the fields, forests, hallways served no purpose other than stretching the show. A number of scenes are shown multiple times. They did it to some degree or another in Tidelands, the Order, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. I'm sure they've done the same thing in a multitude of other shows that I don't have time to watch because I waste too much time on the shows I do struggle through.

They need to try and remember how they made shows like the first year of Daredevil. It was well written and actually had plots that moved along the story. Somewhere along the line Netflix has replaced quality with quantity.
