The Secrets of the Beaumont

Warning: Spoilers
This is a film about the love of a brilliant female attorney and the hooker who is her younger sister.

Set in Seattle, young Brenda (Bren) Simms is arrested for the murder of a man with whom she is having an affair. Bren's big sis Samantha (Sam) races to Seattle from Los Angeles. Years ago, the sisters had a falling out when Sam left Seattle to start her career. Bren was caught holding the bag and had to care for their ailing mother. Now, Sam must serve as protector and defense attorney for Bren.

Bren began work as a hostess at the exclusive Beaumont club that provides services to upscale men. She soon graduated to the role of call girl. It was there that she had the fateful encounter with the playboy Trevor who was murdered.

The plot takes a political turn when Mark Carey, the rising political star running for Senator, gets involved in the mix. Bren played a trick or two with Mark, and he feels compelled to pay her off. But the threat posed to the prospective Senator is deeper because Trevor was recording one of his trysts with Bren. The mystery is who killed Trevor?

There was an interesting set of secondary characters, including the goon Wayne, who keeps pulverizing the poor cop, Brad Mortenson, who is in love with Sam. Brad is conked on the head so many times in this film that he should be placed in concussion protocol.

There is also the conniving madam at the Beaumont, Kayleigh LeDuc, who knows the deep, dark secrets on the johns who visit her upscale establishment. Also in the mix is the fiercely protective Alice, who serves as the guard dog for her husband Mark. Mark and Alice are the Mr. and Ms. Macbeth of the film.

The supremely confident Sam is always certain to track down a lead and double as private eye as well as attorney. The love of a woman for her hooker sister seemingly has no bounds.
