Review of Thin Ice

Thin Ice (2020– )

A great message in a very actual story regarding arctic powers and relations!

Overall a great arctic political drama-series with reflections to climate change, greater politics, the political stand of Greenland, greenlandic independence and the relationship to Denmark in the Unity of the Realm and their foreign relations. Regardless

Not to point fingers at anyone but the series is also about how the Danes behaved towards Greenlanders after the colonial period. It tells the truth about what it was like and what people sometimes still feel today.

Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark that has been suppressed in the past, and this is something all of us must talk about, thanks to this series. It's also important to talk about the ice melting and the climate changing.

The series creates curiosity and gives an occasion to make a great debate.

NB: The animated fake polar bear that got killed getting into town symbolises roughly climate change and what people will see more often in the future due to the warming climate. It is a true fact that polar bears increasingly venture into human habitats to get food, as arctic temperatures have warmed, making sea ice and their hunting habitat more scarce. People should not be sensitive to see this as this could happen in real life.

Although the acting at the start of the series could be better.
